Operation Become Citizen Ninja

As some of you know, on a monthly basis I receive emails from a variety of people for people with the first initial of "M" and the last name Burkholder. Sometimes these emails contain pretty personal information, and I almost always try to contact the "mburkholder" and let them know they are using my email address. Sometimes I have a little bit of fun with them, and this was just too good to pass up. Start from the bottom if you want the context of my message.

Please remove me from this conversation, you are using an incorrect email address.

Please also tell Mike, or Meredith, or Merlin, or Mandy or whomever is accidentally using my email address to learn their address and stop using mine. However, if this was your way of letting me in on your secret government "Citizen Ninja" workshop, I would be honoured to train in the ways of ninjutsu.

I am assuming that the chairs and tables that you will need will be for me to break and display my sweet martial arts skills. I can assure you that my ninja yelling skills will not require a microphone. You definitely should have an easel, I am sure someone will want to paint me doing a sweet roundhouse kick in the air.

Anyways, if not, and someone just put the wrong email address, I will be forever saddened at this loss of opportunity. However, please pass the message along to whomever.

Hi Mel & Andrea. I spoke with Lindsey    Changes are fine, she's updating the layout and sending a new diagram.  One of the 40" square tables will be on the lobby side of the door for check in, with two chairs.  She's certain we will not need a microphone.  She also has 2 easels that we can borrow.   She provides the drink tickets for us to hand out.  She was great, it helps with the stress
It's not like we can rewind and have a do-over.

I agree cut back on the tables for a cocktail party atmosphere. I also think it's a good idea to have chairs available, placed around the perimeter walls. When there's a speaker it's nice to sit and listen. Everybody sat down to hear Dee when we had our November event. I think the position of the speaker in the room is flexible, go with Melanie's preference.

I say only two tables with chairs and more belly bars. It's a cocktail party, so more people will just stand. Less chairs, more standing room.

nice response to Darcy. she should understand.   Re the Crossings,Lindsey sent a diagram with the event paperwork and I managed to get it open now. Its a visio file. I want to review it with her in the morning.  I'll pin down our list, the check in table and so forth.  The layout as presented doesn't seem to match our needs.  seems like we need more chairs and to create more room in the center.??  I assume the credenza is the food buffet.  I'd appreciate your input/ideas so we get this right.  Ive attached it as a PDF file. thanks  Cathy
